Some calls should reach a person

9:41

Sam · Rosewood Plumbing

Live call, 0:24

There's water coming through the kitchen ceiling.
That sounds urgent. I'm going to try to connect you with Sam right now. Stay on the line.
The moment it stops handling and starts connecting.

answara answers your phone, but it does not try to settle everything on its own. When a caller describes an emergency or arrives angry, it takes the details quickly, puts them through to the number you set, and tells you either way.

Paste your website. We read it and build a receptionist that knows your services.

EMERGENCY CALL

Type: Burst pipe, water rising in the kitchen

Caller: (786) 555-0132

Time: 6:04 PM

-> Call them ASAP

It tells you. A text, an email, the call written up.

You decide what counts, and where it goes

Some calls should reach a person: a caller in trouble, someone upset about a job, a situation the AI should not settle on its own. answara is built to recognize those moments rather than push through them, and everything about how it behaves is yours to set.

The transfer goes to a number you own. What we do not offer is a person on our side to hand your callers to, and the person who picks up gets a ringing phone rather than a briefing. The write-up goes to you: the summary, the transcript and what the caller wanted, in your inbox and on your dashboard within the minute.

Escalation questions

What happens when a call needs a person?
The AI drops out of whatever it was doing, collects the details fast (who is calling, where they are, what is happening, a callback number) and puts them through to the number you set. If the transfer does not connect, it tells the caller you will ring straight back.
Who does answara transfer the call to?
Whoever you choose. You store up to three numbers in your call handling settings and the AI dials the first one. Our voice platform gives us no signal that a transfer failed, so it tries once rather than working down the list, and falls back to alerting you.
How does it know a call is an emergency?
By what the caller says. Your trade ships with its own list of emergency words and you can edit it. Safety words add a line telling the caller to also ring 911. It only switches for a real emergency, not for someone using the word in passing.
What if nobody answers the transfer?
You still get the call. An emergency or a complaint always emails you and lands in your dashboard with the summary and the full transcript, and it texts you as well once you have set up your number. Nothing waits for you to notice it.
